Women In Wireless Reaches 5,000 Members

Women in Wireless is a non-profit organization that empowers and develops female leaders in mobile and digital media. The organization does this by providing inspirational panels and webinars, leadership development, mentoring and networking. The technology industry has thought to be mostly dominated by men, but women are doing their part to create a more diverse environment in the world of technology. Some of the big names you think of when considering the major pioneers of the technology industry are Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg.

Forbes reported that, “Right now, ladies represent only eight percent of tech start-ups.” Women in Wireless is attempting to empower women to take leadership roles and create more job opportunities in this industry. Diana Epstein, President of Women in Wireless, is an Account Executive at Jumptap, the largest independent mobile advertising network. While this organization is only 3 years old, they have secured over 5,000 members with 8 chapters all over the world.

On September 9th to the 13th, Women in Wireless is hosting a Multi-City Event for members and nonmembers alike.
